In total, the program takes an average of 21 months to complete.

Syracuse University
The Maxwell School’s Master of Public Administration offers a 12-month program, or 18 months with an internship option, under eight different areas of study: Data Analytics for Public Policy, Environmental Policy and Administration, International Development Administration, National and International Security Policy, Public and Nonprofit Management, Public Sector Innovation and Management, Social Policy, and State and Local Government Financial Analysis and Management.
These areas connect with a core curriculum and a capstone project that integrates study into real-life situations. Some examples of previous capstone clients include the US Department of Justice, Save the Children, and the City of Syracuse local government. Following the 2016-17 academic year, 95 percent of graduates have either been employed or received further education. Just over half nearly entered private and domestic nonprofit sectors equally. Specific job titles include being an Associate Lead Analyst at Moody’s Investors Service, Project Manager at S&P Global, and a Foundation Relations Officer at the National Wildlife Federation.
